About Us

Saxbys’ Experiential Learning Platform cafe at Penn State University’s Smeal College of Business represents our largest footprint yet. The Student Cafe Executive Officer oversees a 100-person team of peers and all cafe operations while earning an undergraduate degree. Everything at this cafe is crafted for students, by students -- down to the art on our walls from student muralists Cate Dillon and Lindsey Kircher and photographer Rachel Gross. To ensure traditional classroom learning complements this entrepreneurial experience, there are at least four live class projects happening in conjunction with the operation of the cafe at any given time across Marketing, Sustainability, Supply Chain, and Finance departments.

The impressive breadth of this cafe also extends to its food menu, which is exclusive to the University and Saxbys most extensive menu to date. Breakfast highlights include freshly baked pastries, like the cafe’s fresh pastries, egg sandwiches and epicurean toasts. For lunch and dinner, Saxbys serves house-made salads and sandwiches. The cafe’s carefully curated beverage menu features a range of options from its signature Cold Brew Collection, to all-natural smoothies, Harney & Sons teas, and seasonal sippers like lemonade.
